Disney Bernie

Bernie Sanders recently criticized Disney for what it pays its workers but CEO Bob Iger, who unlike Bernie has had jobs in the real world, hit back pretty hard.

Town & Country reports:

Disney’s Bob Iger Blasts Bernie Sanders on Private Facebook Post: ‘What Have You Contributed to the US Economy?’

Disney CEO Bob Iger erupted in frustration against Bernie Sanders’ attacks on Disney’s low wages and Iger’s sky-high salary, asking in a private Facebook post obtained by TheWrap: “How many jobs have you created?”

In a private Facebook message on Tuesday, Iger, a supporter of Sanders’ Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton, wrote:

“To Bernie Sanders: We created 11,000 new jobs at Disneyland in the past decade, and our company has created 18,000 in the US in the last five years. How many jobs have you created? What have you contributed to the US economy?”

On Tuesday, Sanders launched into a broadside attack on the Walt Disney Co. during an Anaheim Convention Center rally filled with 1,500 supporters.

“Anybody make a living wage working for Disney?” Sanders asked. “It’s an example of what we’re talking about when we talk about a rigged economy.”

Sanders went on to claim that “Disney pays its workers wages that are so low that many of them are forced to live in motels because they cannot afford a decent place to live.” He added, “People are asking is it right that at Disneyland you have a CEO making $46 million while they’re paying their workers starvation wages.”

Here’s a video report from FOX News:

For someone who’s never worked outside of government, Bernie sure does think he’s an expert on the private sector.

“Live in Hotels because they can’t find a place to live”? It’s all the proof I need to know that Bernie is an economic illiterate. I’ve lived in “low-to-mid-quality” extended-stay hotels. They’re comparable with the cost of renting–and the better accommodations are far more expensive than renting . The reason they exist is because you don’t have to go through the hoops of renting (setting up utility accounts, movement of household goods, grounds maintenance, many housekeeping maintenance expenses, etc.). In fact, if you factor in the cost of eating out when living in a hotel (because food preparation facilities are limited in hotel rooms) you’ll find you’re paying more for a hotel than renting…even in the low-cost hotel rentals.

BOOM! Comrade Bernie Sanaders hits back: How much FREE stuff are you offering?

Who needs to create jobs when Dear Leader can provide FREE stuff for all?

disney is guilty of replacing a large number U.S. citizen employees with low wage h-1b visa imports, and forcing the soon to be terminated employees to train their replacements by threatening their severance packages. h-1b visas are supposedly only authorized when no local talent is available. wonder what Disney paid the clinton slush fund to get this done? clinton is a felonious farce, sanders is mentally displaced.

The rents in California? Bernie has no economic reality……Its really expensive to live in California, regardless of what you do for a living.

Isn’t Disney being sued by former IT workers in Florida – U.S. workers who were forced to train foreign H1B visa workers who then took their jobs??? Bernie is nutty about redistribution but don’t be defending Disney because they are rolling in dough and still are squeezing their work force.
